Issue Agentic AI becoming the brain of robots is posed as the next decade's convergence

Deloitte expects that during the next decade agentic AI and physical robotics will converge, producing robots whose brains are agentic AI systems. Robots of every form factor should become better at adapting to unfamiliar environments, planning tasks with many steps, recovering from failure and working under uncertainty. The report sees this convergence as especially significant for humanoids. Instead of building custom robotics for each domain, more general agentic modules could be reused across warehouses, homes, health care and agriculture. Agentic humanoids might one day serve as assistants, coworkers or care aides with more intuitive interaction, reasoning and negotiation. Even so, the chapter places humanoid butlers at least a decade away.
