Signal Over half of tracked AI agent companies are rated ready to distribute to customers

Summary

Most AI agent vendors tracked by CB Insights are now mature enough to sell to customers. Of 1,261 agent companies scored on the firm's five-point commercial maturity scale, more than half reach level three or higher. About 31 percent sit at the deploying level, 17 percent at scaling and 6 percent at established, while the rest are still emerging or validating. On the demand side, a June 2025 survey of 64 senior executives found that most organisations were already using or piloting agentic AI, with only a small minority not using it. CB Insights reads the supply and demand readings together as evidence that agents have moved from pilots toward production.
