Signal Nvidia Is Taking On Intel and AMD With AI Chip for Computers

Nvidia and MediaTek unveiled the RTX Spark platform, an Arm-based custom superchip for Windows AI PCs, at Computex on 31 May 2026, previously known by its codename N1X. The chip combines a 20-core Arm CPU cluster (10 Cortex-X925 plus 10 Cortex-A725 cores co-designed with MediaTek) with an Nvidia Blackwell GPU offering up to 6,144 CUDA cores, delivering up to one petaflop of AI performance. It is fabricated on TSMC's 3nm process and shares up to 128GB of LPDDR5X unified memory between CPU and GPU over Nvidia's NVLink-C2C interconnect at up to 300GB/s. Confirmed devices from Microsoft, Dell, HP, Asus, Lenovo and MSI are set to ship in fall 2026 at an expected $2,000-$2,500-plus price tier.
