Summary

Some 42 percent of organizations abandoned most of their AI initiatives, a sharp rise from 17 percent a year earlier. AI coding agents actually slowed experienced developers by 19 percent because of the verification burden they impose. Real adoption at the production stage sits at just 5 to 7 percent. Some 79 percent of organizations report difficulty implementing AI, and 54 percent of executives said it was tearing their company apart.
