Signal Adoption stages put cyber AI furthest along and AI agents least deployed

Deloitte's 2025 survey of 500 US technology leaders asked organisations where they stand in adopting six AI technologies. Cyber AI is the most advanced, with half of respondents actively using it and a further 22% nearing deployment. AI language models follow at 41% active use, then AI-embedded devices and edge AI at 31% and AI-based coding assistants at 28%. AI-enhanced enterprise architecture is actively used by only 16%, though 34% are piloting it. AI agents trail the list, with 11% actively using them, 17% nearing deployment and the largest share, 38%, still piloting. The report reads the pattern as broad experimentation that signals strong momentum to rearchitect the technology function even while many efforts remain in pilot.
