Signal Report forecasts hybrid computing architecture adoption rising from 8 percent to 40 percent by 2028

Gartner predicts that the share of enterprises that run hybrid computing architectures will reach 40% by 2028, compared with 8% now. That would be a fivefold rise within about two and a half years. Hybrid architectures in Gartner's description combine different kinds of processors, such as general CPUs, GPU accelerators, custom AI chips and emerging quantum or neuromorphic units, under one orchestration layer. The forecast reflects demand from organisations whose models have outgrown conventional infrastructure.
