Signal Gartner predictions on AI-native development platforms and AI supercomputing adoption

Summary

Among Gartner's 2026 strategic technology trends summarised by KISDI, two concern how AI systems are built. AI-native development platforms use generative AI so that software can be developed much faster and more easily than before, letting firms produce more applications with the same number of developers. Gartner predicts that by 2030 such platforms will lead 80 percent of organisations to turn large software engineering teams into smaller, more agile teams augmented by AI. AI supercomputing platforms integrate CPUs, GPUs, AI ASICs, neuromorphic and other alternative computing paradigms to manage complex, data-intensive workloads such as machine learning, simulation and analytics. Gartner expects more than 40 percent of leading enterprises to adopt hybrid computing paradigm architectures for core business work by 2028, up from 8 percent today.
