Signal Infleqtion Achieves 30 Entangled Logical Qubits on Its Sqale Quantum Computer
Summary
Infleqtion announced on 24 September 2026 that it entangled 30 logical qubits using 80 physical qubits on its neutral-atom Sqale quantum computer. The company calls it a 2026 roadmap milestone and a first for a commercial neutral-atom system, which is its own claim. The experiment ran about 1,000 physical operations and produced a signal roughly 1,000 times stronger than the underlying noise. An AI-assisted circuit search using the GPT 5.6 Sol model found a new logical double-CZ entangling operation that cut the physical two-qubit gates per logical entanglement from eight to four. Infleqtion targets 100 logical qubits by 2028 and 1,000 by 2030. It says three customers are already running logical-qubit circuits on Sqale.
