Signal Google adds conversational AI Mode and agentic checkout to Search
Summary
Google has introduced an AI Mode in its Search tab that lets people describe what they want in everyday language. The results come back organized, with images, prices, reviews, and stock details, and can include side-by-side comparison tables informed by customer feedback. An agentic checkout lets users set preferences, choose a target price, and switch on price tracking. When the price hits that level, the system alerts the user and completes the purchase through Google Pay. Capgemini cites these features as examples of shoppers letting AI act on their behalf.
