Issue Turning the nine agendas into government policy through implementation, monitoring and feedback

Summary

KISTEP expects the complex, large-scale transformation driven by internal and external factors to continue in 2026, and frames the nine agendas as priorities for Korea's competitiveness a decade ahead. To give them practical meaning, ideas and strategic tasks presented at concept level should feed into the research planning of KISTEP's core programmes the following year. Each year the progress of agenda tasks should be reviewed, outcomes analysed, lessons drawn and the results fed back. Previously proposed agendas should be continuously monitored and updated while new agendas are discovered through analysis of emerging issues. The report calls for a stronger external expert network and an in-house technology intelligence system so that issues are spotted early and linked to government policy and programmes.
