Signal Drone-dispersed ashes with published etiquette and prospective GPS tracing

Summary

This signal is a scattering service that finds emotionally meaningful places and releases a loved one's ashes into the air from a drone. The company has also published resources such as a guide to scattering well in 2024. Sitra cites the service's website, dated April 2025. The source adds that in the future GPS tracking could let family members follow the journey of the ashes. Farewell rituals are being reshaped by consumer technology and codified with their own etiquette. Sitra counts it among signals behind an imagined future column on the final disposition of human remains.
