Issue Agenda 7: Becoming a talent power by building a global innovation talent hub

Summary

KISTEP sets the goal of an open and dynamic global talent hub where excellent people of diverse nationalities and fields can gather, innovate and thrive. Its first task attracts outstanding overseas talent and promotes brain circulation, including systematic management of Korean scientists abroad and discovery of foreign talent. It also supports foreign science and engineering graduate students tied to regional strategic industries and regional universities. The second task expands investment in cutting-edge research facilities and equipment and builds open research platforms for international joint research. The third task improves the research and living environment, with measures such as income tax cuts, low-interest housing loans and support for children's international school fees.
