Signal HPE built a four-agent system for internal operational performance reviews
Summary
Deloitte presents HPE as an example of redesigning an entire process around agents rather than patching a single pain point. Chief financial officer Marie Myers says her team chose an end-to-end process they could truly transform. The result is an agent called Alfred that supports internal operational performance reviews, a task that is time-consuming but grounded in large data sets. Alfred combines an agentic front-end interface with four underlying agents that split queries into parts, analyse SQL data, create charts and graphs, and turn insights into structured reports. The agents draw on the company's data warehouse, which sits on its enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management systems. Myers chose the use case because its lessons apply across functions and industries.
