Signal Korea's Glass Dome and KGM complete product carbon footprint calculation

Summary

Carbon data management firm Glass Dome announced it completed product carbon footprint calculations meeting international standards and third-party verification for major models of automaker KGM. The work was carried out based on the ISO 14067:2018 standard for calculating product carbon emissions and the PCR 2024:02 life-cycle assessment criteria used in the international environmental performance labeling system for passenger cars. Glass Dome quantitatively calculated carbon emissions across the entire life cycle, from raw material extraction through production, use and disposal, for three of KGM's core models, the internal-combustion Torres, the electric Torres EVX and the internal-combustion Musso. The resulting data was verified by international certification body LRQA, confirming its reliability and conformity with global standards. Using the same methodology, the calculation was additionally completed for two more models, the Torres Hybrid and the Musso EV.
