Signal 61% call data trustworthiness important, 5% report great progress

Organisations recognise that declining trust in workforce data is a problem, but almost none are solving it. In Deloitte's 2026 survey, 61 percent of respondents said it is important to address the falling quality and trustworthiness of data about work and workers, including disinformation. Around 56 percent said efforts are underway. Only 5 percent, however, reported making great progress. Deloitte stresses that this is not a distant technical issue but a pressing business risk that can affect brand, reputation, finances and operations. It recommends moving beyond cybersecurity toward disinformation security and a digital trust pact that protects worker-related data.
