Signal Nearly half of organizations name data searchability and reusability as agentic blockers
Summary
Deloitte names data architecture as the second infrastructure obstacle to agentic AI. Enterprise data is typically organised around extract, transform and load processes and data warehouses, which create friction when agents are deployed. The core issue is that most organisational data is not positioned for consumption by agents that must understand business context and make decisions. In a 2025 Deloitte survey, 48% of organisations cited the searchability of their data and 47% its reusability as challenges to their AI automation strategy. The proposed shift is from traditional pipelines to enterprise search and indexing, comparable to how Google made the web discoverable. That approach contextualises data through content and index stores built on knowledge graphs, reducing the need for extensive transformation work.
