Saudi state-backed AI firm HUMAIN unveiled its Arabic-focused model humain-m3 at the LEAP event in Riyadh. The model was commissioned by HUMAIN and built by China's MiniMax on top of its MiniMax-M3 lineage. It uses a mixture-of-experts architecture with 428 billion total parameters while activating only 23 billion per token, and was further trained on more than a trillion tokens of native Arabic content. HUMAIN says the model scored highest among the frontier models it tested across seven public Arabic benchmarks. It is currently accessible as a research preview through the HUMAIN Node platform.
