Signal Survey: experts trust science and technology even more than the public, with distrust very low in both
Summary
In the first question of the section on the future of science, technology and innovation, the survey found high trust in science and technology among both the public and experts. Most respondents in both groups said they trust science and technology, and the share expressing trust was clearly higher among experts than among the public. Among the public, 19.6 percent answered neutral and 3.6 percent said they do not trust science and technology. Among experts, 5.0 percent were neutral and 2.0 percent distrustful. Respondents were 800 adults aged 19 and over living across the country and 200 experts in science, technology and innovation policy and research nationwide.
