Signal Ukraine launches one of its largest drone attacks on Moscow Oblast, damaging Wildberries warehouse
Summary
Ukrainian forces struck a major logistics hub of Russian e-commerce company Wildberries in the village of Koledino, Moscow Oblast, overnight on August 15-16, 2026, using domestically produced FP-1 drones, according to The Kyiv Independent. Drone manufacturer Fire Point said the roughly 250,000-square-meter facility, which employed about 13,000 people, was targeted because it is used for storage, sorting and distribution of dual-use goods; President Zelensky had earlier accused Wildberries of helping supply the Russian military with drone components. Moscow Oblast Governor Andrey Vorobyov confirmed explosions and fires in Podolsk and nearby areas, and a drone strike on a private home killed an 83-year-old man. Ukraine's Defense Ministry said the strike disabled seven of Wildberries' ten largest logistics centers, with a second warehouse in Domodedovo also halted. Since mid-July, more than 20 Wildberries warehouses covering over 1.18 million square meters -- more than a fifth of its total capacity -- have been struck, with repair costs estimated at up to 35.8 billion rubles (about $457 million). Russian outlet Agentstvo reported that the attacks could trigger bankruptcies among small merchants who sold goods through Wildberries and lost inventory in the strikes.
