Signal Leaders in interaction design report better financial results at about 2.5 times the rate
Summary
Organisations that excel at deliberately designing how people and AI interact report markedly better results, according to Deloitte's analysis of its 2026 survey. Leaders in this area are close to 2.5 times as likely to report stronger financial performance. They are also twice as likely to say they offer their people meaningful work. Deloitte ties this to its broader finding that prioritising work design doubles the chance of exceeding AI return expectations. It argues that effective interaction is not intuitive and will not happen by default. Instead it must be built through both formal structures and informal culture, at the level of the whole organisation and of individual teams.
