Summary

The report's 2050 vision for Korea is a sustainable society that embeds trust and inclusion through harmony among people, technology and nature, responding actively to crises through science and technology while continually identifying and pursuing national challenges. It was built by merging, for each subcommittee, the future tasks derived issue by issue, and then combining the five subcommittee visions at the steering committee. Priority tasks, those required in all four scenarios, supplied the key terms because they must be addressed first whichever future unfolds. The subcommittee visions cover diversity, restored trust and human-technology harmony for society, innovation through coexistence of human values and superintelligence for technology, and redesigning regional, social and industrial structures for a shrinking society. For climate the aim is a resilient society in the climate crisis era, and for the global order the aim is sustainable economic and social security through crisis response and technological sovereignty.
