Signal Only 11% of organizations run agents in production while 35% have no agentic strategy
Summary
Deloitte's 2025 survey of 500 US technology leaders shows how far agentic AI still is from production. Some 30% of organisations are exploring agentic options and 38% are running pilots. Only 14% have solutions ready to deploy, and just 11% are using agents in live production. On strategy, 42% are still building their agentic road map and 35% have no formal strategy at all. The report reads the distance between piloting and production as the clearest sign of the problem. It attributes the gap largely to organisations automating existing processes rather than redesigning operations, alongside obstacles in legacy integration, data architecture and governance.
