Signal China Launches First National Security Investigation in Foreign Trade, Targeting Imported Office Equipment

The investigation may proceed through written questionnaires, hearings, on-site investigations, or commissioned investigations, and is due to conclude within 12 months, though it may be extended in special circumstances. Imported office equipment with printing and copying functions account for roughly half of China's domestic market by both sales volume and value, while domestic producers with fully independent intellectual property rights hold less than a quarter of the market.
