Signal US threatens Iranian infrastructure over Strait of Hormuz attacks; Ukraine to export drones to US
Summary
The US president threatened to destroy Iranian bridges and power plants, including in Tehran, each time Iran attacks shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi replied that the country's defence doctrine is an eye for an eye and warned states actively supporting US attacks. US Central Command carried out further night strikes on Iranian drone and missile storage facilities and air defences. Ukraine agreed to export drones to the United States in order to join the Pentagon's Drone Dominance programme, according to Reuters sources. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth testified that the cost of the Iran war has passed $37 billion, roughly $8 billion above the previously disclosed estimate.
