Signal The report groups its 10 trends into three named themes
Summary
Gartner's 2026 list of strategic technology trends is not presented as a flat ranking of ten items. Instead, the foreword sorts the trends into three named groups that describe how leading organisations will create new things, win against rivals and safeguard what they have built. The first group, the Architect, covers secure and scalable digital foundations such as AI-native development, supercomputing for AI and confidential computing. The second, the Synthesist, covers orchestrating multiagent systems, language models built for particular domains, and physical AI. The third, the Vanguard, addresses trust and security with four trends: cybersecurity that acts before attacks, proof of digital origin, security platforms for AI, and geopatriation.
