Signal Consumers twice as concerned about AI security breaches as executives
Summary
EY research uncovers a sharp gap between the people who build AI and those who are affected by it. Among consumers, 64% say AI security breaches are a major concern. Among C-suite leaders the figure is only 32%, half the consumer level. EY stresses that this anxiety is not irrational, given worries about job loss, privacy, misinformation and opaque algorithms. It treats the gap as an early signal of a structural shift, in which the trust infrastructure organisations build over the next decade will shape their competitive position.
