Issue Agenda 8: Realising Vital Ageing and leading the global silver industry through Age Tech

Summary

KISTEP's agenda aims at sustainable Vital Ageing for older people and a more advanced silver industry ecosystem built on their wider economic and social contribution. Its first task is an Age Tech innovation initiative that matches core technologies from past social-problem R&D with field applications and selects priority technologies by problem-solving contribution and field acceptance. The second task upgrades the Age Tech industry ecosystem through seamless package-type support across the R&D value chain and discovery of future elderly-friendly technologies such as health management systems and mobility for people with limited mobility. It also proposes public-private demonstration tracks that link public test infrastructure with private technology modules or platforms. The third task strengthens support for older people's economic activity, classifying silver-industry jobs into types such as knowledge transfer, technical support, digital work, social activity and administrative assistance.
