Signal Embrace outweighs resist by at least two to one in every age band

IBM's figure on employee attitudes breaks responses down by age. Among 18 to 28 year olds, 56% would embrace their employer using more AI in 2026 against 14% who would resist it. The ratio is widest in the 29 to 44 group at 58% versus 10%, while those aged 45 to 60 split 45% to 16% and those over 60 split 41% to 17%. The remainder chose neither option, so the numbers do not add to 100%. Even so, willingness to embrace AI is at least double the resistance in every band, which IBM uses to argue that enthusiasm for AI spans generations.
