Trend Eroding global OLED share limits Korean display export growth
Summary
KISDI expects Korea's display exports to be squeezed as its share of the global OLED panel market erodes. In the near term, demand for high-value OLED panels in IT devices supports shipments, yet the institute puts display export growth in 2026 at only 1.2 percent. It attributes this to uncertainty in trade conditions and to Chinese producers catching up. Between 2026 and 2030 the falling global share of OLED panels is expected to hold the whole electronic components group to modest growth, even though memory demand from devices, servers, cars and industry stays firm. Unlike semiconductors, displays are therefore not expected to add much to medium-term export growth.
