Signal Reflective leaders report higher confidence in adapting and clearer strategic visibility

McKinsey finds that leaders who have become more reflective are more confident about their organizations' capacity to change. Thirty percent of them believe their organization can adapt, against 18 percent of leaders who reflect rarely and 17 percent of those who reflect less. They also see their priorities more clearly, with 49 percent reporting clear visibility on their organization's must-win battles, compared with 25 and 21 percent in the other groups. The report stresses that reflection alone is not enough and that it must be turned into mindful action through fearless learning. Learning from mistakes and sharing insights openly are presented as the way to convert uncertainty into progress.
