Signal Workers report decreased well-being and lost role clarity as the top impacts of change
Summary
Deloitte's 2026 survey asked workers about the combined effect of the workplace changes they had experienced over the past year. The most common response was a decline in well-being, cited by 68%. Close behind were less clarity about their role at 61%, a heavier workload at 60%, feeling less relevant or left behind at 58% and reduced employability at 56%. Deloitte uses the results to argue that traditional change management and training are not keeping pace with how quickly roles are shifting. As an alternative, some organizations are building an omnichannel experience that surrounds workers with coaching, practice and AI-enabled support embedded in daily work.
